A lovely park. Basic but clean and tidy. A cafe/ chip shop and grocery shop at the entrance. Well stocked for its size. Booked out on the weekends with families and lots of kids doing their thing . Week days are quieter.
Sheltered river mouth ( the Moore river) not open to the sea. A lovely long sandy sea front.
An excellent family park if you can get a spot.
Book early.
Great little park and very clean amenities. I will definitely go again. They even let us set up our campers a little differently as we were a large group
Will be back
We, along with another couple, booked in for a couple of nights stay with our caravans.
We arrived, were given no information on how to even open the boom gate to access the park, only a small plan of the park, without knowing where to park, (there could have been signs to show vanners or campers of sites say from 1 to 10 or 63 to 70, ) but nothing.
Also sprinklers were left on from early afternoon all through the night and when we wanted to hitch up to leave, we asked for them to be turned off, and they were not.
With the sprinklers being on all night, one had to walk a long way around just to go to the toilets.
So all in all not the best place to go!
Took advantage of the Glamping promotion and was not disappointed, have spent a while on the road and wanted a night to spread out and relax. Spacious tent, comfy bed, loved the special touch of shampoo & body wash! Got the second night free on the promotion and spent the extra time to hire a kayak to go up the river.
We just got home from a two night stay at Guilderton Holiday Park. All of the staff were so friendly and the amenities were lovely and clean. There are plenty of toilets/showers and BBQs so even though the park was busy we didn't have to wait for anything. We've been at other parks during busy periods and Guilderton Holiday Park definitely kept on top of the bathroom blocks better than most! The site we had was a great size, tidy and easy to get the caravan in. There is a nice lawn area around the camp kitchen which was perfect for our kids to play on and lots of big shady trees. The kids are already asking when we will go back so we'll definitely stay again.
The cafe has reopened just today! It looks like it's going to be great - the gluten free hot chips were very welcome and the gluten free cookies. We hope there can be more gf options in the future. Staff as usual in the caravan park are great, a light was fixed almost immediately, and the chalet had just been cleaned.
The rooms are a little worn here and there but clean and perfectly serviceable.
Nice big apartment style room with 2 large bedrooms was great, and even though they normally need 2 nights we paid for just one thanks to the helpful staff. Pity we didn't have time to stay and check out the sights, will need to come back one day.
Perfect little getaway from the city and not too far from Perth. Fishing isnt the greatest in the river but there are a few good spots out on the coast. Very beautiful place to spend some family time. Kitchen has all the basic essentials for cooking but dont forget to pack your kitchen utensils plates cutlery etc. We will be back.
